Dell Streak delayed, launches in US “later this summer”

Dell’s highly-awaited tablet/smartphone hybrid won’t see a US release this month, contrary to previous announcements. A Dell spokesperson said Wednesday that the Streak, the 5-inch Android-sporting tablet-esque device, will not be available to customers in the States this July, but will instead arrive sometime “later this summer.” This delay comes without much notice; the Dell Streak had previously been slated for its US release today. When “later this summer” is, and what exactly that means is anyone’s guess, although “later this summer” may be a lot better to hear than “later this year.” The Dell Streak been available in the UK since early July.

On the bright side, this gives prospective owners some time to order a friend for their Streak.
